About Me and My Experience

I am a very organised person, who likes to rise to a challenge; I am very task orientated and enjoy working under pressure. I like to be flexible in the workplace and am realistic to achievable and unachievable goals. I have a firm but fair approach as well as, diplomacy and adaptability to unforeseen situations. I have hands on work ethic and am open to new innovations and support that will only enhance the working environment. I enjoy working on my own initiative as well as being part of a team. I flourish in organisational roles and appreciate responsibility that improves the team’s morale. I am enthusiastic and keen to learn; I also have a great understanding of my own limitations and am accepting of assistance. I believe my work ethic, enthusiasm; presentation and reliability speak for themselves and are reflected in my previous roles.I am currently a team leader, I have previous experience as a deputy manager and I have recently completed my QCF in health care management and leadership level 5 and would like to undertake a senior position within a healthcare setting for adults or young people to expand my knowledge and skills further. I have 15 years experience within the care sector within various settings. I also have experience of CQC audits and the standard at which they expect you to work. I have recently been part of a management team, bringing a care home standards up and have experience of what it takes to gain better ratings, my previous post was a requires improvement rating when I started and within a short period of time I managed to raise that to a good rating.I am able to complete complex rotas and change them according to the needs of the services I have worked for, ensuring the effective running of the business and care needs of individuals. I work at a high standard and follow a person centred approach in all my work.I have experience of managing staff and undertaking the regular supervisions, appraisals and handling any misconduct. I have experience helping staff to reach their full potential and have used other agencies to help provide them with the best support and training to suit their needs and ensure they are comfortable and capable of their work duties. I have a good understanding of the legal requirements set out by CQC to ensure a safe and effective practice within a home setting. I previously worked for guardian homecare for 11 years and know most services, individual clients and staff members and have a great rapport with the staff and service users I worked with. I believe this will Benefit myself and your company as I already have a great understanding of the services needs and the way the company runs on a day to day basis. I have excellent IT skills and understand various programmes and have the ability to learn new programmes and work to a high standard following company policies and procedures. During my time within the health and social care sector, I have worked in various different settings such as nursing homes, hospitals, independent living and supported housing as well as previous experience within the youth service. I worked with princes trust, connections and other agencies to help provide support and help to young people and encourage them to pursue careers best suited to them. I also helped create the young Essex assembly which was a group designed to help young people’s voices be heard by local councils and eventually it helped pave the way for youth parliament to be created. I feel the knowledge I have gained has made me want to progress further within the care sector. I enjoy a challenge and am versatile within my work.I have worked with various external agencies such as social workers and medical professionals, and have a broad knowledge of the GDPR laws and privacy and confidentiality regulations and understand ways of ensuring data is stored and used correctly in accordance with the legal framework.
